Irish aviation has a long and proud history. From the landing in Connemara of Alcock and Brown’s first transatlantic flight in 1919, it has been a story of pioneers. Now; as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and government restrictions on travel; this vital sector of Ireland’s economic and social life is under threat.
